ON A ROLL
March 24, 2009
OH SNAP! Two updates in one week?! That's right kiddies, finally got the ball rolling. And on that note....

Spiffy new Myspace page. Check out the new songs "Shattered Fantasy" and "Reentry" while you're there. Hells ya.

Also debating whether or not to redo the website. This version is fairly young so I'm thinking I'll hold off on it. In other news Bethesda released The Pitt on Fallout 3. Of course because its set in my hometown of Pittsburgh I downloaded almost immediately after it became available. Unfortunately, the XBox Live servers corrupted the file, so everyone with the XBox version of the game is pretty much screwed until Bethesda and Microsoft figured this all out. I just hope they don't charge me another 800 points for something I already downloaded. Tis quite a shame. More news soon hopefully.

WOOT A REAL UPDATE
March 23, 2009
I finally got some real work done this week! Two new songs finished and a few removed from the music page. Currently preparing my Myspace page for a massive update/overhaul and the site may face a change as well. Either way I finally managed to heave this nasty depressing boulder off my shoulders. Lots to do and right now I have to go to work. Hopefully the momentum will stay this time.

OMG HALO RUINS MY SOCIAL LIFE
March 14, 2009
Yeah no matter what I do to get away from it, I keep grabbing for the old tourniquet and slapping my arm for another shot of sweet FPS. This time the wasteful times have spawned this little nugget of joy. Its a pretty damn big file but the epicness (both in spectacle and fail) is worth the wait. Other than that, not much to report. Working on some new music here and there, but nothing really news worthy yet.

By the way, There Will Be Brawl is excellent. A must watch for any Nintendo kids who want to be scarred for a while :P

Anyway, will blog when there is more to report. As always, enjoy!

LISTS ARE FUN
March 2, 2009

1. I know it's been a long time since an update. As if anyone reads these anyway :P

2. It seems I was so bad at the Duquesne Music School auditions that they do not want me to try again.

3. It won't matter anyway because if I can stop being so damn lazy I'd have a goddamn demo done by now.

4. That demo would then be part of a wonderful press kit for my music.

5. Which would most likely mean I could stop worrying about the videos that I haven't exported/uploaded.

6. Because the site would have to be revamped for the press kit.

7. I just started working again on a video game that I abandoned months ago.

8. Any day now I will forget about it yet again and move on.

9. Why did I write this in a list?

10. Have a nice day.

SSSSLLLOOOOWWW

Well not really. I've actually been very busy, just not on Teh Internets. Besides my car constantly deciding to stop working, I've also been working to get into Duquesne University's Music School, which is no small task. Besides normal college admissions, there's also two tests and an audition that I must pass. Plus I think I have to submit an essay and some examples of my compositions. Needless to say, it's been a lot of preparation.

This means that my presence online has diminished somewhat. But big plans are slowly coming to. Videos will all be hosted from Cerrax.com instead of YouTube. The trick is getting all of my videos exported into a small enough format that they can stream as smoothly as YouTube. And when you have a 4 year old computer with an obsolete processor and only 512 megs of RAM, that takes quite a while. Speaking of videos, this Fallout 3 trailer was an idea I had for a long time and I finally had plenty of hours to waste playing, recording, and editing footage of the game. Probably not worth the effort it took to make it, but I love it nonetheless. Unfortunately I'm still using YouTube, but I don't think they'll catch onto this one quickly because I made a special edit of two different songs plus there's lines of dialogue overtop. Worst that can happen is I have to move it onto here anyway.

Also in OCR news, the Pokemon Remix Project may finally be picking up steam now that few artists have stepped forward to help with the website design. It may even come out this year! [/sarcasm] Seriously, keep your fingers crossed. Also me and a few others from OCR are planning to do a live version of "We Are Starfox", but I need to get off my ass and send the parts to them so they can begin working on it. Also I need to practice my vocals. :P 2009 is shaping up to be great so I hope I don't trip at the finish line.

YOUTUBE IS A BUNCH OF DICKS
January 6, 2009
Happy New Year and all that jazz. Well there was a lot of awesome that occurred recently and a few not-so-awesome moments. Lets start on a good note shall we?

FALLOUT 3. I'm, pretty sure there's not much more to be said here. Easily the best game of 2008 in sheer gameplay value. There's just so freakin much to do in that game. On that note, anyone familiar with Fallout 3 also knows about the Pip-Boy 3000. In a strange and impulsive move, I bought a Pip-Boy 3000 clock from the special Survival edition of the game and then completely gutted and modded it for my Christmas present, an iPod Touch. I think I've found my first item to post in the "Other" section of the site. :D

Another momentous occasion was MAGFest 7. A four day music and gaming extravaganza that made the transition into 2009 purely excellent. Met tons of great people including a lot of remixers and members of OCR. Performances from a number of artists ranging from insanely epic VG metal, to a celtic acoustic group, wicked chiptunes, and some hardcore DJ sets.

Also if you haven't seen the nugget of genius that is Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, you're really missing out.

Well so much for the good bits. on two sadder notes, my Xbox 360 finally kicked the bucket but a new one is already on its way. Oh and YouTube thought it would be funny to block my two most popular videos. Somehow they never noticed that I had "third party content" in my videos until I reached almost 20,000 hits.

Anyway, this means that I'll have to host the videos on here. The space isn't the problem, I have plenty of that. Uploading is what sucks but that's why FTP is great. A few new things coming to Cerrax.com! Finally have an article (possibly with embedded video) in the "Other" section and all my videos will be moved to the site so I won't have to worry about YouTube cock-slapping me whenever I begin to actually attract attention.
